| We believe we exist to be in community.
Christ has united us in our spiritual pathway. Whether we
are in worship, in educational experiences, at work in or
outside of the home or at play; we are called to bring peace,
unity, social justice and healing for everyone. We are called
be a community. |

Twelve Year Olds: Chosen and Blessed Hoglah, Deborah, Samuel, Jesus and Jairus' Daughter
Ideas for use in Youth Ministry, Confirmation Class, and Spiritual Development of Youth
Carol wrote this book as part of her two year Master's program in the Academy for Biblical Storytellers. It has just been published and is available for $10.00. Carol is an author, speaker and leader of workshops meditations and conference.
“This book give you an opportunity to experience how, when we become a part of the biblical story, we often find meaning for our own life. It is an incredible resource for confirmation, baptism, and intergenerational groups.” Tracy Radosevic, Dean, Academy for Biblical Storytellers.

Church of the Nativity, Meditation Garden Memorial Brick Sale
Matthew Orleman, one of the youth of our congregation, launched a huge undertaking for his Eagle Scout project. With the help of his
Boy Scout Troop and members of our congregation, Matthew turned the weed-infested, rocky, muddy eyesore in front of our church into a beautiful meditation garden.
We are now selling Memorial Bricks, on which you may have a loved ones’ name, and a brief message and/or date inscribed. Some are already in the garden. Profit from the sale of the bricks will go toward plants and other materials needed.
If you would like to donate a brick, please complete the form below, and return it to the church office along with your check ASAP. (When we have enough orders we will send in the batch of bricks for inscribing. If you wait, you may miss out) You can also order a brick after each Sunday service in May, June, or until the end of July or click here and print your own form and get it into the church office. There will be a table set up for your convenience in the narthex with order forms. |

If you haven't yet had a chance to do so, go out the front door of the church and enjoy our beautiful memorial garden and patio that was put in over the summer of 2007. |
| One of our youth, Matthew Orleman, son of Marcia and Todd, planned the project and designed and constructed the patio portion of the garden (including demolishing the old sidewalk and clearing the site) as his Eagle Scout project. He was assisted by Menne nursery, his family, a few Scouts and parents from his troop, some of the youth of the church, and Linda Tomsen. Linda and Tim Tomsen with help from some other volunteers planted the trees and bushes. The congregation responded enthusiastically by purchasing memorial trees, bushes, bricks, benches, and other items. A big "thank you" to Matt and all the others who made this beautiful and inviting place a reality. (With winter coming on, no more brick orders will be taken. You will have an opportunity to order additional memorial bricks in the Spring of 2008.) |
